FAQ

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Sure do. There's no extra travel charge for shoots in the Tauranga area, anywhere outside of that may include travel costs, but you'll know about them ahead of booking.
Can I use the photos for social media and marketing materials?
If you've booked a commercial shoot, then broad commercial licensing is included - so, yes! If you need more details, get in touch and I'll send a license through for you to read over.
What is your process for working with brands?
Once you've reached out, we can jump on a call and sort specifics. My baseline packages don't include a stylist, large scale studio or models, but they can be added easily.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes, as a general rule of thumb I like to keep photos looking as natural as possible, but if you have say, a dreaded wedding day pimple - then that won't be a thing in your photos.
What should I wear to a photoshoot?
Anything that makes you feel good! Neutral colours (black, white, or earthy colours) are timeless, but there are no rules.
What time of day has the most photo friendly light?
It depends on the weather, but the safest times to get super flattering light are early in the morning (anytime between 6am and 11am) and early evening (between 4pm and 9pm in the summer).
I try to avoid shooting around the middle of the day if we're shooting outside, but in a pinch I can manage most lighting situations.
Do you shoot video?
Yes! I prefer short form content, but can do longer form where needed.
What's your image turnaround time?
This depends on the type of shoot.
Commercial, product and family photos have a turnaround time of 2 weeks or less. If you need them back sooner, you can always let me know and if there's capacity for that, I'll make it happen.
Weddings: I’ll get a handful to you within 24 hours, and I’ll have the full gallery back to you within six weeks of your wedding day.
What's your process for working with couples?
We can meet for a coffee (or a cocktail) and go over all the details, then I'll touch base again closer to your wedding date to check in on time lines, any ideas or references you want to share etc.
What happens if my kid loses it during a family session?
Sometimes this happens! Don't stress, it's up to you. I book time frames with a little extra padding for family and newborn shoots, so there's plenty of time to take a break and regroup (or pull out the bribes), but if that seems far too hard at the time, then we can always schedule a second attempt. The bottom line is that we keep stress to a minimum and that you get the photos you're after.
What's your hourly rate for events?
$220 per hour of coverage. That includes all editing, licensing and delivery.
What image formats will my photos be in?
Whatever you prefer, but generally high resolution and web resolution jpegs. If you're booking a commercial shoot and plan to use the photos on specific web platform, they can be optimised for that too.
